Volunteers’ Week 2023
Volunteers’ Week gets underway next week, on Thursday 1st June, and will run until Wednesday 7th June.
At The Loop we will be marking Volunteers’ Week by highlighting volunteering opportunities in Surrey with up to 50 different care charities and voluntary organisations, supporting people in our communities, across the county. There really is something for everyone out there. Follow our social media over the week, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Be inspired and get involved!
We will get the ball rolling early on Volunteers’ Week this year. This Sunday morning, 28th May, Matthew and Lucinda Kalupka, founders of The Loop, will be guests on the BBC Radio Surrey Weekend Breakfast Show. Tune in just after 09:00 to listen them chatting about all things The Loop and about the vital role volunteers have for our county’s charities.
During the week we will shine the spotlight on an exciting, special initiative to get young people volunteering, that The Loop has been involved with, which is a collaboration between the Duke of Kent School and three other local charities.
And we will, of course, take the opportunity to pay tribute to, and celebrate, our fantastic volunteers.
