The Voyage | The Training Day

The VoyageHuman centred strategy execution for Directors in the charity sector

Yesterday saw Directors and CEOs from a number of Surrey’s care sector charities and voluntary organisations come aboard to set sail on The Voyage – the latest The Loop x Awaken Group training event.

Attendees from Action for Carers Surrey, Bloomin’ Arts, The Brigitte Trust, Catalyst Support, Cherry Trees, Guildford Cathedral, Headway Surrey, The Orpheus Centre and Voluntary Action Reigate & Banstead joined together to journey through the four pillars of The Voyage – set the course, sell the course, sail the course and maintain the course.

A set of photos from the day can be viewed on The Loop’s Facebook page.

Once again lots of thank yous are in order for having made this event not only possible but a success too.

First up thank you the Awaken Group for so generously offering this training day, through The Loop, for free to care charities and voluntary organisations.

It was another wonderfully dynamic and stimulating workshop, fantastically facilitated, with Jonathan, from the Awaken Group at the helm.

Thank you Waitrose in Cobham for sponsoring all the food and refreshments. It is thanks to such support that we, The Loop, together with the Awaken Group, can offer and provide such free training courses to charities and organisations working in the care sector and out in the local community.

Thank you to our hosts at the venue, the West Clandon Royal British Legion Club, for being, as ever, so hospitable!

And thank you to TEAM Loop – our volunteers! Thank you Sarah and Linda for lending much needed helping hands, to make sure everything was shipshape!

To the voyagers that came on this journey with us, which also included The Loop’s trustees, thank you for coming and for taking part. It was great to go on this voyage with you all. We hope that you find the practical takeaways and tools, from the course that was set, useful in your day to day roles – supporting and championing the care sector in Surrey.
