Tea & Cake at the High Clandon Estate Vineyard in Support of Cherry Trees

On Sunday 17th July the High Clandon Estate Vineyard will be open, from 11am until 4pm, as part of the National Garden Scheme and The Loop will be there supporting local charity Cherry Trees.

This date also falls within ‘Art and Sculpture in the Vineyard’, there will be over 170 works of art on show, and for sale, with a percentage of sale price going to Cherry Trees. Enjoy these works of art in the spectacular setting of High Clandon, up in the Surrey Hills, while strolling through the wildflower meadows, the vineyard, the rose arch walk, and the tranquil Japanese garden.

Home-made cakes and cream teas will be available throughout the day with all the proceeds going to Cherry Trees. A team of volunteers from The Loop will have been busy baking in the run up to the event and will be selling delicious home-made treats on the Cherry Trees stall.

Based in East Clandon, Cherry Trees is a very special place. Cherry Trees provide home-from-home specialist short-break respite visits for children and young adults aged 0-19 with a range of complex disabilities. Due their very special needs, the children and young adults require very special care, often 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so naturally, from time to time, both they and their families need a break, which is just what Cherry Trees give them.

What a great way to spend a summer’s day, strolling the beautiful grounds at High Clandon, taking in the stunning views and the fine art, before sitting back, relaxing and enjoying a delicious home-made treat!
