Duke of Kent School Community Week

The Loop have teamed up with the Duke of Kent School for their ‘Community Week’ (12th – 16th June).

During the week pupils from the school, in Years 7-10, will go out into the community on supervised volunteer placements.

This will serve as a great opportunity to cement the pupils’ links with their local community and give them a sense of the positive impact volunteering can have.

We have ‘looped’ the Duke of Kent in with three local charities and during the week pupils will be volunteering at Elysian, Cherry Trees and Horsley, Bookham and Leatherhead RDA. Thank you to these three organisations for getting on board with this project and in so doing, offering the students volunteering experiences that will ignite their interest in community work and have a positive impact on both them and the beneficiaries of the charities involved.
