A sparkling start to October!

On 1st October The Loop had the pleasure of co-hosting Sparkling Inspirations, a 2 day fundraising photography exhibition in the stunning Glass Barn at the High Clandon Vineyard Estate, home of Sibylla and Bruce Tindale, showcasing in beautiful, inspiring photographs, the amazing work that care organisations carry out in the community, as seen through the eyes of gifted local photographer Haley Woodward.

The event was opened in glorious sunshine on Friday 1st October by the Mayor of Guildford, Ms Councillor Marsha Moseley, with representatives from each organising charity: The Loop, The Grange at Bookham, Cherry Trees and local home care provider Home Counties Carers. Mayor Moseley said that she was “delighted to open an event highlighting such tremendous caring work from local organisations.”

Home Counties Carers Director and Registered Manager, and also founders of The Loop, Matthew and Lucinda Kalupka said “they were proud to be supporting The Loop’s first event bringing to the fore the amazing care taking place across Surrey for all age groups.”

Haley Woodward was on hand both days talking to guests about her exhibition and taking photographs. She said “how humbling it was to be allowed into peoples homes and to the care environments to capture precious moments!”

Guests mingled and chatted with friends and family, enjoying award winning High Clandon Euphoria Cuvée produced on site and canapés. Guests could sit and enjoy cream teas and other refreshments overlooking the stunning Surrey Hills views – all the way to London! Those with the shopping urge were treated to stalls selling everything from festive cards, jewellery, sumptuous home ware, local art and scented candles to delicious brownies and chocolates.

Guests shopped until they dropped – with a chilled glass in hand and a smile!

Thanks to this hugely successful event, an amount exceeding £1,100 was raised for the charities Cherry Trees and the Grange! A great time had by all in this celebration of care!
