Duke of Edinburgh Award Volunteering Placements

Stripey Stork

Stripey Stork offer after school Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteering placements, for young people looking for a rewarding experience supporting and working with an award-winning charity.

They can accommodate Bronze, Silver and Gold students who need to complete regular volunteering hours. Tasks will include sorting clothing, making up activity packs, hygiene packs and school bags, checking and cleaning equipment such as highchairs and travel cots to make sure all donated items are ready to go out to families in need.

Placements will also involve group fundraising, and contributing to research to help Stripey Stork develop the service they offer to teenagers needing support in Surrey.

Volunteering will take place at the warehouse in Reigate, with the occasional opportunity to take on extra tasks at events and seasonal activities off-site. Sessions will be managed by a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator with experience of working with children and young people.
